eventACTION
eventACTION is
a comprehensive event tracking tool. The following events are
tracked:
- program & product execution
- references to datasets & members
- changes to datasets & members
- operator commands
- updates to SVC table
- DFSMShsm HRECOVER/HDELETE
- Define/Delete USERCATALOGs
- Define ALIAS
- FDR Interface
eventACTION
also includes extensive usage of email messages; a powerful
side-by-side compare facility which provides the capability of
comparing almost any two files; and an extensive report

ussACTION
ussACTION can automatically and transparently
track, control, backup, and monitor changes or references to HFS
(Hierarchical File System) and zFS (zSeries File System) files under
the OS/390 and z/OS USS (UNIX System Services). It looks similar to
eventACTION, except that dataset and member are replaced by
directory and file name.
The first phase of the product (6.05) included automatic tracking of changes, compare, reporting, and backup / restore of HFS and zFS files. ussACTION 6.06 provided reference tracking functionality for HFS and zFS files. Since 6.07, support for change controls for HFS and zFS files are available.
ussACTION is now available for production. Further information is

testACTION
testACTION is a new feature which provides facilities for transparently testing new versions of products as well as individual programs, CLISTs, REXX execs and cataloged procedures.
testACTION eliminates the requirement to change JCL, execs, etc., to test new versions by dynamically changing the programs, execs, or libraries used at execution time.
NOTE: This feature is currently under Beta test and is subject to further change. Please contact Action Software for instructions on activating and using this Beta feature if you wish to test this feature, and be prepared to provide feedback regarding the results of your testing.
